Adi Nes Biography
Born Yaacov Gipstein on May 11, 1928 in Rish-le-Zion, Palestine (now Israel), Agam studied in Jerusalem, Zürich, and Paris. Agam is best known for pioneering Kinetic Art which uses light and sound to provide a unique sensory experience for the viewer. His prints or “Agamographs”, made illusory images appear depending on the audience’s viewpoint. a work of art that can only be perceived in stages, as a partial revelation. Agam moved to Paris in 1951, where he still lives.
