
Damien Hirst Biography
Damien Hirst is the most prominent member of the “Young British Artists” which dominated the UK art scene in the 1990s. Famous for his series of artworks of dead animals preserved in formaldehyde, including a shark in “The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living”, that both wowed and repulsed audiences in 1991 and for his diamond skull, “For the Love of God”.
